Teayeon Kim
Teayeon is an Environmental Specialist at the GEF responsible for the blended finance program and integrated programs coordination. She has experience both in the private sector and the in the United Nations system before joining the GEF, providing technical assistance in developing climate change adaptation and mitigation as well as forestry and land degradation projects. Her most recent position was at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) Korea on developing Clean Development Mechanism projects for private sector investors. She worked with the UN Environment Addis Ababa Liaison Office to the UN Economic Commission for Africa and the African Union and FAO Forestry Division in Rome, Italy. Teayeon earned both her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Environmental Science and Ecological Engineering from Korea University, with a focus on Forestry Geographic Information System (GIS) and Remote Sensing.
