Ikuko Matsumoto
Ikuko Matsumoto is the Knowledge and Policy Officer at the Global Environment Facility (GEF), focusing on identifying good practices of GEF investments and sharing learning from GEF investments to GEF partnerships and beyond. Ikuko has over 20 years of experience working on strengthening the resilience of production landscapes, the science-policy interface on biodiversity, and the valuation of ecosystem services for governments and private sectors in Asia and the Pacific. Ikuko has previously worked at the International Finance Corporation and the Institute for Global Environmental Strategy where she worked with the private sector for their sustainable investment and supply chain management. Ikuko holds a Ph.D. in Environment and Social Ecology from Tokyo Institute of Technology and an MSc in Environmental Science from Yale University, School of Forestry and Environmental Studies.
