Fareeha Iqbal
Senior Climate Change Specialist
Fareeha Y. Iqbal is a Senior Climate Change Adaptation Specialist and also coordinates GEF programming across Small Island Developing States (SIDS). She works across a broad range of issues and sectors in the climate change adaptation team, and prior to joining the GEF in 2014 worked with the World Bank, Inter-American Development Bank, consulting firms, and non-government organizations in Washington, DC as well as in developing countries. Fareeha holds a Masters in City Planning (MCP) degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT; 2003), where she studied urban planning, climatology, and remote sensing. In her spare time, she enjoys meditation and learning to play classical guitar.
