Christina Bogyo
Christina Bogyo, a dual US/Hungarian national joined the GEF as a Program Assistant. Prior to joining GEF, Christina was working at the World Bank Institute, and has also worked at the World Bank between 1996-2002; first in the Asia Environmental department, followed by the Europe and Central Asia region’s Poverty Reduction and Economic Management Unit, and the region’s Social Development unit. Christina's background is mainly in project coordination, program development, research, liaising and communicating with partner institutions, database management, website content development coordination and coordinating and developing meetings and conferences. Between 2003-2007, Christina worked mainly in the US non-profit/association field, on a number of different initiatives, mainly coordinating projects, assisting with developing conferences and meetings, as well as fundraising activities. Christina holds a B.A. in International Hotel Management/Tourism from Hungary and a M.A. in Business Management/International Marketing and Market Research from the University of Maryland. Christina grew up in Hungary, Iraq, and Nigeria, and has lived in Washington, DC for more years than she dares to admit.
